Chalk Pastel Paintings on Paper

A set of warm and cool paintings, these little beauties were inspired by my ongoing research into body positivity through expression of the feminine nude form.
PROCESS
This medium appears like watercolor as I have “painted” these high quality, artisanal chalk pastels with water after drawing them onto the paper.
MATERIALS
These chalks were a gift from my mom on a trip we took to Roussillon in Provence - village known for its ochre color and artisan makers.
The fine art textured, cotton rag, ragged edge paper is hand made in India and comes through the Royal Academy of Art, London.
