What do I mean by “Color Block”?
Color Block simply refers to my stylistic choice of creating landscapes, dreamscapes, and abstract art using only “blocks” or sections of colors - in this case, with high quality, fine art chalk pastels.

In studying, carefully choosing and falling in love with each pigment, I use this technique to focus, without distraction, on the feeling, texture and harmony of each color - how they compliment, move and co-create together - evoking distant, earth-centric, and profound yet dreamlike horizons.

This original chalk pastel on antique French book paper comes framed in an antique frame I bought at the Sunday market in Aix-en-Provence, France. She is matted with an off-white, acid-free, fine art mat.
