Aix-en-Provence is a little ritzy, classically bougie, old-school cool and traditionally Provençal all at once. Here’s a taste of its magic through my American eyes.

A short half hour walk north of Aix takes you to an amazing little path called “Le terrain des peintres”; this field of trees is right near the famous spot where Cézanne painted some of his most famous works.
