Known as the “Mountain of Provence” or “Queen of Provence”, La Sainte-Victoire reigns over the region, and has inspired painters for centuries, including most famously, Paul Cézanne. She can be seen most beautifully from just outside Aix-en-Provence, where I spent three years working and living as an artist.
