What do I mean by “Color Block”?
Color Block simply refers to my stylistic choice of creating landscapes, dreamscapes, and abstract art using only “blocks” or sections of colors - in this case, with high quality, fine art chalk pastels.
In studying, carefully choosing and falling in love with each pigment, I use this technique to focus, without distraction, on the feeling, texture and harmony of each color - how they compliment, move and co-create together - evoking distant, earth-centric, and profound yet dreamlike horizons.
Details
This is a set of two original chalk pastels, “Night Sky + Sea” and “Moon + Stone”. They are drawn on heavy set fine art mat paper and come framed in light wood, with an off-white, acid-free, fine art mat.

Framed to 25 x 31 cm (about 10 x 12 inches).
